The face behind Elljay Photography.

 

If I’m not behind my camera or deep in an editing session with a coffee going cold beside me, I’m probably chasing my little girl around, teaching a heels class, lifting something heavy at the gym, or planning our next holiday.

Becoming a mum has completely shifted the way I see photography. The tiny details. The chaos. The way they wrap their arms around your neck. The way time somehow moves too fast and too slow all at once. I get it now in a whole new way.. and I photograph motherhood and family with that understanding in my heart.

I come from a big family, and I’ve been photographing them for over 15+ years.. from newborn cuddles to awkward teenage phases (don’t worry, I’ll guide you through those too). My niece and nephew have basically grown up in front of my lens.

 I’m also a proud fur-mum and certified animal lover, so yes.. your dog absolutely belongs in your session. They’re family too!

My sessions are relaxed, warm and natural. I’m not about stiff posing or forced smiles. I want the real stuff!! The cuddles, the giggles, the wind in your hair, the “don’t tickle me!” moments. You just show up and love on your people. I’ll take care of the rest.
